[Download] Another one of my favorite tracks from Les Misérables. I also recorded this song in a single take; sung straight through. I had recorded the instrumental a week or two ago as preliminary tracks just to give me something to sing along to, but when I went to record the vocals I thought of the beat, so I added it. Originally it was just going to be a straight orchestral track... but I like to funk things up just a little.

[Download] This is the beautiful song from Les Misérables. I was listening to the soundtrack and I thought I really had to record this song. So I played all the instruments by ear, added a bit of my own flavor, and sung out the vocals. The orchestral parts are very sophisticated (a LOT of work) and by the time I actually got to record the vocals, I was beat. It should be noted that the vocals were recorded in a single take.

[Download] Recorded along with a Karaoke track, my wife and I sang this song after seeing the Phantom of the Opera movie at the theatre. I had seen (and fell in love) with the Phantom when I was in grade six, but the movie re-birthed my passion for its beautiful melodies.

[Download] From Les Misérables, this song was sung along to a Karaoke track. And this song was originally sung by a female. I changed the words to make it appropriate to a male vocalist; but because it was a Karaoke track (in the key of GIRL), it was much too high. Had I produced the instrumental myself, I would have brought it down a semitone or two. It is here for the sake of my history; but not because I'm particularly proud of it. In fact, it's kind of embarassing.

[Download] Recorded from a hand-held video camera (hence the horrid sound), this is me playing the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz at the Gravenhurst Opera House.
