A little gaming nostalgia

On this week's episode of Category5, we looked at a little bit of gaming nostalgia, and as it turns out, Bekah and I both played a lot of the same games as kids.  We immediately installed the old DOS games CD to her Ubuntu Linux computer, and decided to play some good ol' Jill of the Jungle.

Man, does that ever bring back memories!

I'm seriously sitting here on the laptop cheering her on, and even caught myself yelling "Jump now!" at one point - LOL.

PS - to extend my geekiness, while you don't see it in the video, I actually have Bekah's screen up on the TV, so I'm watching it on the 27" screen.

We were doing really well, but as we approach level 10+, it's really starting to get tricky.

They really don't make games like they used to.  This is GREAT!

It seemed suiting that today, on the eve of the 30th birthday of Pacman, we'd be sitting here playing some games from when we were kids.

Next up? Space Quest 1.
